Recyclic

Storytelling Through the Mundane

When I was deciding on a game concept to see to completion, I looked at one of my favourite indie games of all time: Papers, Please. I found the real attraction of the game was what I would call "Storytelling Through the Mundane"

So I made Recyclic. The player is a lowly factory worker who sorts recycling, trying to make ends meet while keeping up with new regulations and shifting political, social, and economic climates.

Shellscrape

Scope Creep!

A top-down wargame project I started during university, as with many new devs, scope creep hit hard, and I could not bring this game to completion. (Perhaps the concept will be revisited one day)

Despite this, the process was an irreplaceable experience. I implemented systems and mechanics like pathfinding, procedural generation, Line-of-Sight, etc. I also had a lot of fun learning pixel art and making tileable game assets.

Ideas are cheap so I’m sharing mine

A slice of my plans for a project after Recyclic. This shows a bit of my creative process of formalising ideas.

Always looking for collaborators with creative visions!
